CourseGraphic This course focuses on the safety related issues involving electric vehicles (EVs). The instructor will present different electric vehicle drive systems, high voltage battery function and design, battery converter systems, and high voltage battery accessory components. By the end of this class, learners will be able to identify and demonstrate an understanding of:
  • Shop safety
  • Electric vehicle safety
  • Digital voltage ohm meter (DVOM) use for hybrid EVs
  • Description and operation of EV components
  • Scan-tool diagnosis
  • Pinpoint testing procedures
Learners will receive a voucher to take the ASE xEV Electrical Safety Awareness Certification (Level 1) test upon successful completion of the course.
