This course builds on what you learned in Introduction to Electric Vehicles Part I. Part II is dedicated to the technician that will actively work on and service electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). This course covers:
  • Personal protective equipment
  • Electric vehicle safety
  • Working around electric vehicles
  • Depowering different types of EVs
  • Digital voltage ohm meter (DVOM) use for hybrid EVs
  • Function and use of a proving meter
  • Description and operation of EV components
  • Electric vehicle types and descriptions
Learners will receive a voucher to take the ASE xEV Technician Electrical Safety Certification (Level 2) test upon successful completion of the course.
