Ethics and Standards of Practice in Guardianship; BioMedical Ethics; Tools for Guardians

The National Guardianship Association Ethics and Standards of Practice will be the basis for more in-depth exploration of decision making with and for others; interdisciplinary life management for vulnerable people; applying advance directives to health and daily care issues; residential placement; monitoring and visitation; and other duties of guardians.

Navigating medical treatment dilemmas, end-of-life issues, and how to weigh treatment risks, benefits and alternatives will be only some of what is explored in the fascinating study of Biomedical Ethics.

Tools for guardians will cover effective care plan writing; assessments; PT and OT evaluations; and other instruments useful in sound ethical decision making.
