This 8-month training program for adult echocardiography combines online didactic instruction, hands-on labs held one evening a week, and one day a week of practical clinical experience to train registered diagnostic medical sonographers (RDMS or RVT) in the specialty of adult cardiac sonography. The program will require approximately 12 hours of homework, class time, and/or clinicals per week.
Topics covered include cardiac anatomy and physiology, cardiac pathology, hemodynamics, data analysis and documentation, introduction to invasive and advanced procedures, basic electrophysiology and much more!
Upon successful completion of the program, each student will be eligible to sit for the ARDMS adult echocardiography registry exam and earn their RDCS credential. A $500 deposit is required to hold your seat in the program and is refundable if you are unable to attend and withdraw before the class start date.
