The National Registry Practical Exam consists of skills presented in a scenario-format to approximate the abilities to function in the out-of-hospital setting. The process is a formal verification of the candidate’s “hands-on” abilities and knowledge. Successful completion of the practical exam is necessary for NREMT certification.
